| The MacKenzie Highlanders Pipes & Drums of Des Moines is a post-WWII Scottish Military Band modeled after the legendary MacKenzie and Seaforth Highlanders. In formal settings, members sport doublets and feather bonnets, while in more informal agendas WWII-era shirts and Tam O'Shanter bonnets dominate the scene. During each and every performance Scottish military discipline, drill, and ceremony is strictly observed. The MacKenzie Highlanders Pipes & Drums of Des Moines continues the rich tradition, color and pageantry of Scotland's Military Piping Past.
