You did a splendid job as a performing artist; and also as a first-class ambassador for all that is good in performing music to a community." This above quote is from Dr. Dennis Simons, Conductor of the Minot Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Simons, who has recently been awarded US citizenship, was born a "British subject"; at the time, in the Commonwealth of Canada, He is one of only 300 living alumni to be selected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, London. This is due to his remarkable international reputation as a violinist, conductor, adjudicator and Orchestral Performance Specialist. More interestingly, he has served as Concertmaster for both The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra; and, The London Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, he has been a guest conductor in Europe, Australia and North America; including performances with: The Toronto Symphony; The Victoria Symphony; The Thirteen Strings of Ottawa; and, The Orchestra of London, Ontario. Dr. Simons was also the founder and first violinist of the United Kingdom's premier and world-renowned Alberni String Quartet. Not surprisingly, throughout his career, Dr. Simons has continually worked and collaborated with many internationally acclaimed musicians. These have included: Daniel Barenboim; Benjamin Britten; Carlo Maria Giulini; and, Bernard Haitink. |

| If you are about to appoint a piper for a special event that has important meaning for you, your family and your friends: You will be much happier and unquestionably more satisfied by appointing a piper that will truly enhance, enrich and compliment your event. You could just appoint a piper who owns one kilt, one white shirt and one worn vest. You could just appoint a piper who only plays a small routine of little-known tunes. You could just appoint a piper whom seldom, if ever, plays in front of energized, critical audiences; or even select a piper who, sadly, has never been appointed to solo at large stadiums or concerts. That can certainly happen; and does, the first time around.
